Ertito Montana – whose real name is unpronounceable to earthlings – is an illustrator and comic book author based in Madrid. He studied animation and worked for a time at Cartoon Network; after several decades creating fanzines, low-quality comics and stick figures, he was awarded the ‘Future Promise of Comics’ prize at Comic Con Vlc 2018 (he is still waiting for that very promising future). He has published works in Spain, in the UK in David Lloyd’s (V for Vendetta) magazine Aces Weekly, and in the United States. His most notable works are Sicarios, Tigre Callejero and Abraxas.

Julio Embid (1983) holds a degree in Political Science and Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and is the author of essays such as Hijos del Hormigón. ¿Cómo vivimos en la periferia sur de Madrid? (Els Llums) and Con capa y antifaz. The Ideology of Superheroes (published by La Catarata) and the short story collection Tránsfuga (published by Libros del Gato Negro). He has served as Director-General for Institutional Relations and Statutory Development for the Government of Aragon. He has contributed as an occasional columnist to El País*, Diario de Teruel and eldiario.es.
